October 26, 2010

Been a busy few days, always eventful it seems!!!

Brandon is doing good.....as rotten as ever. Saturday we took him to the Columbus Zoo for their "Boo at the Zoo" event and he loved every minute of it. He got to see his monkeys which are his favorite thing. He got to see all kinds of animals.....fluffy the snake (yuk), the baby elephant, and his precious gibbons. He would really sit for hours if he had the option. When he told me "mommy I happy" you knew the trip was worth it!!!

Last Wednesday Tim got in a car accident, luckily it's not his fault and he's okay, but now the van is in the shop for who knows how long. We have a rental thankfully but it just stinks to have to deal with car repairs!
Lastly, I've got another cross stitch finish to share! This one will hopefully be for my daddy this year for Christmas. He's the cheif of his local fire department so I know he will love it. It only took me 20 days of stitching to get it done too! That free's up some time to work on a christmas pillow for my newest neice and who knows what else I decide to stitch for Christmas. I have a couple ornaments that I have to work on for certain too!

MAN......what a hectic couple of days!!!

Yesterday Tim was in a car accident. Not his fault thankfully but the van is going to need a new back door and bumper. Which is actually kind of funny actually because the back bumper had a bunch of scuffs on it and we were just saying how it would be nice to have a new one! His back has been pretty sore since, I did talk him into going to the ER just to make sure everything was alright. They were, but after having that back surgery we just cannot take any chances!!!

I am ALMOST done stitching my fireman, should be done either tonight or tomorrow night! Very excited to have this done!!

October 19, 2010

Had to work today, tons of fun. Yeah right. All in all it wasn't a bad day. Pretty long and strung out to be honest. Guess we all have days like that I suppose. The one thing I like about being on the late shift at work is being able to sleep in a little bit in the mornings.

Tomorrow I have training in the morning then the afternoon should be pretty normal. Lets hope anyway.

I did get a new finish done. This is for a Christmas ornament. I stitched it on 32 count linen with Waterlilies silk in Mediterranean and Delica's beads. It actually went really fast and I'm excited to get it finished. I have to add a star charm at the top, then it will be "finished" into a small pillow. I want to do a few more ornaments this year so I'd better get moving!!!

One of the best feelings in the world though, when I came home from work today little man came running out the door arms wide open for a hug. I love the little guy to pieces, he's an amazing kid.

October 18, 2010

Well I don't think I'm doing TOO shabby at working my blog......It's only been 10 months since I updated it! LOL. Hopefully I'll do better.

There've been some ups and downs around here. We won't talk about the downs, best leave all the bad crap alone and out of the picture!! We're doing pretty good around here. Brandon is very much a 2 year old little boy!!!!

In May we took a vacation to Ocean City, MD and Washington, D.C. I wish we could have had more time in D.C. Our hotel in Ocean city was wonderful.........The view from the room was AMAZING. Who doesn't want to wake up to that??? We also got to visit the horses at Assateauge (sp?) Island.
I really want to go back to D.C. soon, and when Brandon can understand what all we are looking at. He was a bit young but the memories will last forever!

I got my own laptop now

that's what my lovely DH got me for Christmas!! :) Now maybe it will be easier for me to keep up with my blog!!!!

I have been surfing the net a lot and have found a TON of blogs that have a lot of cross stitch patterns listed on them. I have so many patterns now it's crazy, I know I will never be able to stitch them all.

Today Tim came up for lunch, nothing major. Except he handed me a bag from Sacks Fifth Avenue! In it contained the perfume that I have been wanting FOREVER (okay well since October when it came out). I had told him not to buy it but he didn't listen, not that I'm going to complain too much mind you!!! (by the way, it's Dolce & Gabbana rose the one)

Well that's about all the update I have for now, I'm tired and so ready to go to bed. Hopefully DH will agree to that as well!!!!!

November 8, 2009

Well it's been a pretty long time since I posted and I'm having a rough weekend and just need a place to vent.

Tim's been pretty cold today and it's getting the best of me. I worry that I'm going to need to go back on the depression drugs and I really don't want to do that. There doesn't seem to be a day that I don't cry anymore.

I get that he is at his limits with Zach, it's a neverending story there. If it's not one thing its another with him. No matter what we do to try to make Zach's life good, it's not good enough of he is going to sabatoge it. This in turn frustrates Tim and makes him pretty cold and mean towards me. And I just can't deal with it anymore. No matter how much I try to understand what Tim's going through with Zach he just can't seem to see that I can't take this anymore. More and more I wonder if Tim is just unhappy with me in general and is trying to find a way to make me leave. I will not let another marriage fail, it's just not going to happen.

I just wish I knew what else I could do to try to help Tim through this. I've pushed and pushed him to do the right thing and now it's like he's resenting me for it. I have brought up multiple times for him to go to talk to someone that may be able to help him figure this all out but he doesn't do it.

I'm tired and I am mentally exhausted. I just wish I knew what to do.

July 20, 2009

Okay I slacked off a bit on getting a post in but hopefully I can catch everything up on this post. Been a little since I posted so I have a lot of stuff to update.

First off we had Brandon's 1st birthday party on June 28th. The weekend before his actual birthday but seeing as how his birthday is the 4th of July I figured that it would be easier to get everyone together the weekend before. It was pretty warm outside so by the time we got to the whole cake part of the party he was pretty tired and just didn't get into tearing into the cake. But he did a pretty darn good job trying!! Brandon got a ton of new toys and clothes and I think he had a lot of fun (as much as a 1 year old can I suppose). A tradition that Tim and I are trying to start is to take a picture of Brandon the exact minute that he is born each year. We have a picture that was taken at exactly 3:50pm when he was born so I took another picture this year at 3:50pm on July 4th. Now, if he had been born at 2am we may not be able to pull this one off! LOL. Since we had his birthday party before his actual birthday I went ahead and baked a cake on Brandon's birthday and let Brandon have a slice all of his own. Granted using red velvet may not have been the BEST decision but it was very well worth it!!! So very hard to believe that my baby boy is a year old already!

I have been taking a class on how to do hardanger. This is the picture of the first lesson and I have to get the picture of the 2nd lesson uploaded yet. We've been having some problems with the camera talking to the computer so I have to use the laptop to upload any pictures at all. I am really liking how the blue looks with the cream colored floss.....I'm so excited to go on to the next step.

The next picture is of my latest finish. I did this same pattern in brown and pink and then was asked to do it in brown and cream for another couple getting married. I was afraid that the cream metallic floss was too yellow but Rosemary was very happy with the finished result. I am waiting for her to send me a picture of the last one I did for her after it was framed. I'm very glad to hear that it was a very well recepted gift. I will most likely be doing at least one more of this project as a woman at work has asked me to do it for her and her wife's wedding which was a year and a half ago. Their colors were "pool" and silver so it'll be diffferent than doing Brown again! LOL

I think that's all of the picutres that I've uploaded. :)

This last weekend Tim had Sunday off so we took the boys down to see his family in West Virginia. It was a very nice trip and Tim's aunt Cindy was able to organize everyone to get together at the city park instead of us going to 3 different houses while we are down there. It made life so much easier for us, esp for Brandon because it would have been a lot on him. We did find his mom and that was about a fiasco......she didn't remember when Zachary's birthday was, how old he was, Brandon's name, Brandon's birthday nor my name. She was more concerned about if my fingernails were real or not. So needless to say we did NOT stay very long!!!

Alright I've got stuff to do. I promised Tim that I would make him some cookies so I think I'm going to go start getting them made. :)
